Bridge of the Skagit River I-5 Alternative routes working great

Local transportation and State officials have implemented five detours to to effectively move I-5 traffic around the bridge of the Skagit River, in their efforts to replace the collapsed section mid-June. A temporary period will be put in place, eliminating the need for detours while allowing construction on the permanent duration to continue with the planned completion early September. WSDOT has set up a page for easy access to the detour route maps. WSDOT Apps are also available for your Android phone or iPhone.
